The blossom of a painted daisy lay
Upon another tied into a braid
Although the flower someday wilts away
The memory it leaves will never fade
A crown around your mind in shining hues
The petals stacked and neatly tied along
And then, as if from fields inside of you
Your smile blooms as bright and twice as strong
A sunbeam travels down from way on high
A spotlight shone directly on your face
“The sun is yours as much as it is mine”
And brought me in to see a brighter place
So why not take a break and lay with me,
to gaze up at the clouds from grassy knolls?
To drink with me, a fragrant cup of tea
A picnic in the world between our souls
“You swear, no matter what, you’ll stay with me?”
“Beside you’s where I’ll always want to be.”
